Welcome to my website. My name is Alan Lyall. I live in Norfolk in the UK and have been taking photos for many years. My first 'proper' camera was a Zenit EM (I remember feeling 'guilty' about spending £40 on it). I have progressed a bit since then and now use a Canon digital SLR, L series lenses and I have no more guilt...
I have always had an interest in natural history and many of my photographs reflect this. I am also fascinated by macro photography - the ability to see things that the naked eye cannot never ceases to amaze.
In 2000, my wife and I took up scuba diving and in 2006 I started taking photos underwater with my SLR. I have been fortunate to be able to travel to many exotic destinations to indulge these joint passions.
